Initial Consultation

We recommend downloading the appropriate initial consultation form and completing this form prior to your first appointment. This allows us to focus our time on the merits of your case rather than spending time filling out forms and collecting general information.

Cases concerning divorce, custody, child and/or spousal support, equitable distribution, collections/landlord tenant, immigration, and school disciplinary hearings are charged a nominal fee. The $100.00 fee is due at the time of the appointment.

Second and subsequent consultations are charged at our hourly rate.

At JOHNSON & FLORES, we have a four tier fee structure available to our clients:

• Contingency Fee:
  (Personal Injury): Our contingent fee is typically 33 1/3% of all monies collected on your behalf after having paid expenses.  Fee may vary based upon facts of the case extent of litigation.
  
  
• Flat Fee: (DUIs, Criminal matters, Property Settlement Agreements and Uncontested Divorces) A flat fee is quoted at your initial consultation determined on the severity of the charges and the hours required for the preparation of your case.
  
  
• Hourly Fee: (Family Law) A deposit is required to retain this firm. The deposit amount is determined at your initial consultation and is based upon the complexity of your case, hours required for preparation and issues raised for trial. Your deposit will be placed in an escrow account and you will be billed at our hourly rate as the fees are earned.
  
  
• Combined Fee: (Civil Litigation): We require a retainer fee in order to begin the litigation process on your behalf.  Our representation fee is commonly ordered by the Court to be paid by the defendant in addition to the monies collected.
